Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix, plus the ingredients listed on the package
  • ½ jar chocolate frosting, approximately, or as needed
  • 1 bag milk chocolate melting wafers
  • 1 bag orange candy melts
  • 1 bag white candy melts
  • A small amount of olive oil, as needed
  • Your favorite sprinkles, for decorating

Instructions

  1. Bake the brownies.
Prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions. Let the brownies cool completely.
  2. Crumble the brownies.
Break the cooled brownies into a large bowl and crumble them into fine pieces.
  3. Mix with the frosting.
Add the frosting a little at a time, starting with about half the jar. Mix until the brownie crumbs hold together when pressed. The mixture should be moist enough to form balls without becoming too sticky.
  4. Shape the cake balls.
Roll the mixture into evenly sized balls and place them on a lined baking sheet. Refrigerate until firm enough to handle. If using sticks, let the cake balls chill before inserting them to make dipping easier.
  5. Melt the chocolate.
Melt each type of chocolate or candy melt separately according to the package directions. If the coating is too thick for dipping, stir in a small amount of olive oil to help create a smoother consistency.
  6. Dip and decorate.
Dip each cake ball into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off. Add sprinkles while the coating is still wet. Use the orange and white melts to drizzle decorative patterns over the top.
  7. Let them set.
Place the decorated cake balls on the lined baking sheet and let the chocolate coating harden completely before serving.

KUCHT Tip

For easier dipping and a smoother chocolate coating, make sure the brownie balls are firm before decorating. If the melted chocolate becomes too thick, add a small amount of oil and stir well until it reaches a consistency that coats the cake balls evenly.
